Ten years ago, I developed a voracious appetite for music, and I haven’t stopped eating since.
While living in Ann Arbor, Michigan, I started gobbling up concerts and vinyl albums in manageable bite-size chunks. I noshed on one or two concerts a month and one or two albums a week.
The more artists I saw and music I consumed, the more insatiable my appetite became. Within six months, I feasted on weekly concerts and album purchases. It was fun to constantly sample music, both new and old.
By 2015, I realized my musical appetite was big enough for more than one person. It was large enough for others to join in the feast and share their favorite “dishes.”
As a self-appointed musical foodie and longtime journalist, I’m whipping up my favorite musical “dishes” to serve you. Those “entrees” are shared through The Stratton Setlist, a Michigan-based music blog that spotlights my favorite emerging and established local and regional music.
I invite you to taste-test these “entrees” and tell me what you think. Are they tasty? Do you want to add them to your musical palate?
Get ready to try out some delectable tunes. Music isn’t fun if you can’t binge on it with other people.

Ah, a music lovers. Music has healing powers, and hats why I got hooked to it. The strains of a sonata can bring calm, while a stirring chorus may rouse us. But listening to music may change more than just our mood. Its good to see a music lovers.
